The purposes of the Alabama Gulf Coast Chapter are as follows:
A. To promote maximum safety to life, health and property at minimum building cost through the education and training of code enforcement officials.
B. To create a better public understanding and appreciation of the proper administration of the building, housing, plumbing, mechanical and electrical related codes, ordinances and the importance to the safety, welfare and prosperity of the municipality and county.
C. To improve the prestige of the code enforcement officials by the promotion of high standards of efficiency in the administration of building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical related codes and ordinances through continuous education and training.
D. To assemble with other government officials and organized groups concerned with codes and ordinances to exchange ideas and discuss mutual problems.
E. To develop courses of instruction concerning new materials and methods of construction in cooperation with recognized education institutions, proper interpretation, enforcement and administration of codes and ordinances.
F. To assist Alabama Municipalities and Counties to organize and maintain adequate codes, enforcement department codes and ordinances.
